Electric Inside specializes in replacing gasoline and diesel engines with 100% zero-emission electric systems. Mainly in displacement boats, such as boats or sailboats.
A typical project to convert a boat of between 4 m and 12 m, sailing at about 6 knots, usually costs between €12,000 and €25,000, and largely depends on the capacity of the batteries to be installed.
In our projects we recommend complementing the autonomy of the batteries with solar energy generation systems.
Remotorization of one Illes Medes 25
A Pascual 33 diesel to electric llaut conversion
A renovation of the entire propulsion system, deck and hull, leaving the boat in ideal condition for its role as a birdwatcher in the natural park.

We replaced a 6 hp Solé Diesel engine with a 5 kW Bellmarine inboard electric motor (equivalent to 10 hp diesel).

Batteries: 2 x 5,000 Wh Victron lithium.
Electronics: Raymarine monitor integrated with Victron includes GPS and battery monitoring (charge status and remaining autonomy), speed and RPM.

Maximum speed 6 kt with flat sea. Cruising speed 4.5 kt.
The recharge of the batteries can be done solar or by connecting to the current. A full charge by plugging to the current takes between 3 and 6 hours, and allows an range of:
More than 36 hours at 3 kt.
18 hours at 4.5 kt.
3 hours at 5.5 kt.

Solar kit with 6 flexible panels of 130 W generate peaks of approximately 780 Wh, so that they can easily recharge the consumption of a typical recreational outing of one or two hours of sailing.
